Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s moves to assert himself as the chairman of the APC seems to be failing.

The Nigeria Police Force has barred loyalists of the embattled APC chairman from gaining access into the party’s secretariat.

The policemen have been keeping an eye on the facility since the court verdict sacking Oshiomhole A report by Vanguard indicates that efforts by some aides of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to gain entrance into the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja were rebuffed by security agents on Friday, March 6. According to the report, Oshiomhole’s loyalists were denied access to the party’s secretariat by a detachment of policemen drawn from the Counter-Terrorism Unit, mobile and regular forces.

The policemen had sealed the party secretariat and laid siege on the facility since the verdict of a Federal High Court in Abuja suspending Oshiomhole.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the APC has dismissed the court ruling reversing Oshiomhole’s suspension as the party’s national chairman.

Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court, Kano state on Thursday, March 5, reversed Oshiomhole’s suspension a day after the former Edo state governor was suspended by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The national vice chairman northeast of the APC, Salihu Mustapha, has declared that only the Court of Appeal could reinstate Oshiomhole as the party’s leader. Speaking to journalists at the national secretariat of the party, Mustapha said two courts of coordinate jurisdiction cannot seat on appeal of the same Federal High Court.
